Looking forward

I can't believe 2 weeks have passed by so quickly! Before I know it, it's time for me to go down to KL again to visit my dear Saucer. :) It's going to be by land this time, ie. bus, because I am pretty much broke spending on Year End sales and Firefly tickets. :( Anyway, I have bought Aeroline bus ticket for this round, since they claim that they are as good as aeroplanes (in terms of service, of course). The tickets are slightly more expensive compared to a normal bus (ie. RM55 vs. RM35) but they provide a meal plus they have toilets on board! I am definitely looking forward to the ride! Of course, I'm looking forward to seeing Saucer too. Missing him every day, even without realizing.

New Life

It has been quite a long time I did not update this blog. I'm busy with my new job, or I should say career. My new work life in CSA has been really good so far. It is a company where could take me as far as I want to go. Short to say, I got a lot to learn. I currently live in SS2, in the center of PJ. Being an adventurous has its rewards, I get to try new things, especially food. Places like Wai Sek Kai, Korean House, SS2 Pasar Malam, KTZ, Food Foundry and Mango Snowy at 100yen shop have been my favourite hangouts.

I continue my MBA journey in MMU Cyberjaya with still 10 months left to go. I must say I enjoy every moment of it. I have learnt from the modules which I never had my eyes on during the past like Accounting, Corporate Finance, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Marketing, Quantitative Analysis. This weekend, I'm having final exam for my 8th modules, Entrepreneurship where I learnt about not only Classic E. but Corporate Entrepreneurship. I love MBA classes because I get to meet new friends/juniors each next intake, sharing thoughts and experiences, and learning new chapters. For me, MBA is not a guarantee ticket to climb up a corporate ladder, but rather a tool for you to gain self-confidence, ability to communicate with people from various types of field in their language, and most importantly open up my mind on how an organization works as a whole.

It is learnt that every departments play very important role, it is sad that many large organization still eyes and rewards well only the profit center. Dont they realize that a cost centre might be the profit center in other business? I'm happy that in my current company, everyone is treated fairly, every department is a business unit, where they handle own profit and loss, thus encourages them to fight and manage their financial wisely for fame of own business unit. The profit center will be charged for using HR services for hiring, using Finance services or charged by IT for expanding storage. This absolutely gonna motivate everyone! *grin...

I still have 5 more MBA modules to go, and I'm going to love every bits of them. Above is just a sharing, sorry if it bores you, hehe.

What I love about Saucer

I had to think to myself, really hard, what it is that makes me attracted to my man. When I couldn't come up with several top-of-my-head, impromptu responses, I started to get worried, is there something wrong with my man? Why is it that I couldn't think of his traits that make me melt? All I could think of was the times we always argued, the times we disagreed over the smallest matter, the times we had cold wars, when he's always late and most of all, always forgetful. I started questioning myself, why did I like him in the first place? Why did I stick with him for two full years? Then it started to hit me...

What I like about him is him. Despite his forgetfulness, his defensive arguments, his addiction to his PSP to the point of neglecting me, there are just certain minute acts that when he does them, it makes them all the more meaningful, all the more valuable, and his weaknesses become a blur tiny spot.

When we walk along the road side, he always makes sure that he's walking at the side nearest to the road. In case anything happens, such as snatch theft, or reckless drivers, he would provide a barrier of protection towards me. He never says this to me, but I know that's what he thinks, and I find him irresistible for that.

When I have painful period pains, a man who brings me a warm towel to ease my stomach cramps, who massages me, and who makes sure I go to sleep, makes me feel like I'm the luckiest princess in the world.

I love how he behaves like a macho man in front of his friends and how he doesn't feel comfortable being mushy with me on the phone with his friends around, but behaves just like a kid when there are only two of us in the room. How he makes me feel like I'm the only one who matters in his heart, the only one who can truly put a smile to his face, the only one he can show his true personality to.

Something happened the other day which made me fall head over heels deeper in love with my man. I had a long day at work, and was exhausted after dinner and shower. As I was watching TV comfortably, my eyelids started to become really heavy and I couldn't stop myself from falling asleep. He kept reminding me that I still had not brushed my teeth, but I was too tired to make a move. In the end, he took the electronic toothbrush, applied toothpaste and opened my mouth to help me brush my teeth in my sleep! Of course, that act touched me tremendously and I couldn't help but wake up and continue brushing my teeth myself.

I say that's my man...

A day in Penang

One day, Wai Lian and I went to the coconut stall along the Bayan Lepas sea side for a coconut treat while waiting for Witch, who told us to fetch her at 1.30Pm. Then, we decided to spend the time taking pictures around PSDC.

A seaside view when having the coconut
Doesn't that looks refreshing? *wink
I bought this sun glass at RM190, not bad huh?
A photo of me posing like a model :p
A garden view in PSDC
PSDC is a nice place to study. How do i know? I'm currently pursuing my MBA there, 7 modules to go only, yay!! Without realizing, it has been year :)
More pictures are on the way soon.

Eagerly awaiting...

The day has finally come! I'm so excited! :))) We've planned for this for so long, since 4 months ago. 4 months ago, we were still doubting and hesitating, whether our plan will work out. We went through long phone calls, detailed plans, all possible conditions that things would go wrong, and we sorted them out. Well, I guess that's the best that we could do, given the circumstances. And I think we did cover our grounds all right. Tomorrow, we shall see. Whether our plans materialize as we wanted them to be. Let's hope that the weather will be great, time will be on our side, luck will be on our side and we will have FUN. Lots and lots of FUN. I can't wait! I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep tonight. I have a feeling this is going to be great. That all our planning will not go in vain. That everything will just be fine, in fact, more than fine!
Good luck to us! :)

Drizzling in Singapore

Saucer and I were at Singapore some time ago and there was one particular night which was especially memorable. It was a quiet night and we were walking from Bugis street all the way to the Esplanade. I was most of the time attempting to take some nice night pictures by using the timer mode, because my hands were always not still enough. *shakes head* Thank god for my tripod too, or I wouldn't be able to take ANY decent pictures. Here is one taken from Esplanade towards Fullerton hotel, on a tripod, no less. LOL

Here is another picture from Esplanade as well. No doubt this was blurry, because I took it using my hands... *sigh* really I must get Image Stabilizer or Electronic Tripod, whatever you call it ...

Then we walked from Esplanade to the Merlion, after which it started to drizzle! :( But not before I took picture of this majestic and magnificent mermaid-lion! I think this picture turned out all right, especially from just a point-and-shoot. :)

Attempted to take a picture of us in front of Merlion, using the self-timer shot, but it started to drizzle quite badly, and I automatically took the umbrella along (it was covering the camera at first!). Then I realized what a funny shot it turned out to be! *LOL* Poor Merlion was being blocked...

Experience in Victoria Station

This is my second time in Victoria Station, cup and I went there for our special day celebration *wink*

This is the front view of Victoria Station in Penang, the building looks quite "chan" (bad condition in hokkien).

I made the reservation earlier and we chose to sit inside the "train" seat. Looking at the menu, the prices ranges starting from RM20++ for a main course.

This is our very first appetizer, a salad and a chocolate milkshake, it was nice and the price is quite cheap.

Cup order grilled lamb, the portion was just nice and taste was marvellous.

I ordered a sizzling steak with chips. It was served hot and maintained hot on the hotplate :)

Our dessert was "bombe alaska dessert", we enjoyed the way it was served. It was on fire! we just kept our eyes watching the waiter pouring the rum onto it. Serving for 2 persons.

This is the serving for 1 person, centered with vanilla ice-cream.
Overall, it was a nice experience and I definitely will go again someday.
